Ashlee and Gage became friends the summer after Ashlee graduated from High School. She says she talked to him about everything, and a few months after that Gage asked her out on their first date. Her favorite date night was going to Black Oak Grill in Branson at The Branson Landing and then to Krispy Kreme Donuts. They ate donuts and milk in the car while they talked and laughed and then they played putt putt golf. Even though it wasn't fancy the night was one of her favorites! As for the night Gage asked for her hand in marriage, he took her to Piccolo's restaurant in Nixa, MO. Gage asked a waitress to take some photos and he proposed in front of a crowd - talk about pressure! You've got to be sure of yourself to propose in front of a group of people!
Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area
If you have never heard of Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area, you should check it out. It's a hiking trail, but it has so many pretty spots that I have used it several times for portraits when I have a session in Branson. Gage and Ashlee's session was one of my first times using it. And as you can see the trees were so pretty and colorful when we went! It was perfect! (Just know there is a bit of a walk to get to the main area.) There is a long stone wall, a small outbuilding, picnic tables, benches and a covered swing.
There's even a wide scenic view that is at the top of a cliff. Stairs take you from the top all the way down to Taneycomo Lake at the bottom.
Their wedding will take place at The Veridian in Springfield, MO this June and I'm so excited to work with them again! If you are recently engaged scroll down and connect with me. Let's start planning your dream wedding today!
