Hannah and Kurt had the cutest St. Louis wedding and I was honored to be their wedding photographer! Their venue was at the The St. Louis Wedding Chapel and they wanted a fun intimate reception at a local bar called Croc's Sports Bar so they could hang out with their close family and special friends.
Hannah met Kurt at a bar playing "wingman" for a friend. A mutual buddy was in the army and her friend wanted to hang out with him. Hannah agreed to go to the bar with her to meet up with their mutual friend and some others as well. They commented before they went in that their mutual buddy may have a "cute" friend but the thought of that actually happening seemed unlikely and they both had a good laugh! Lo and behold as soon as they entered the bar and found their friend Hannah could not stop staring at the good looking friend he brought along - surprise! It ended up being her future husband!
They ended up at a friend's house later and ended up talking all night. (Hannah said she did all the talking!) Kurt was such a gentleman and asked for her phone number so he could make sure she made it home safely. She told herself that he would never call her because she thought she'd talked too much, but she didn't realize what an impact she'd made on him and he did call her the very next day to invite her out to dinner!
Kurt ignored all of the "rules" she'd laid out for him when it came time to propose...he didn't get a photographer to capture her response to seeing her "Prince Charming" on bended knee asking for her hand and she had done a client's hair that morning and her hands were badly stained and her nails weren't done. In spite of all that Hannah says "it was THE most perfect moment ever, and none of that even mattered!"
Their reception was so much fun, and so relaxed - everyone enjoyed hanging out and playing pool while having a cold beverage. That's the best part of all, being with those you love. Speaking of love, show some in the comments below!
Thanks for stopping by and drop me a line if you are getting married soon!
