Madison was looking for a senior portrait session that showed her personality and what she was interested in. We spoke a few times before the session and came up with a location in Branson that was more than just trees and grass for a background. She loves bright colors, movement and has such a brilliant smile that will blow you away! We had to take advantage of that and boy did we ever! We spoke about what she should wear, and I suggested colors that look best with her skin tones.
She has a relaxed fun side and also loves to look her best so we went with clothing options that show those sides off. She brought a couple of bright sweatshirts, a colorful tee shirt and a beautiful vintage looking dress with her to choose from. Since I love doing sessions in the evening we decided to meet near the Branson Landing since there are so many options for great looking backdrops for portraits. As we got closer to our scheduled session time the weather began looking like we'd be getting some rain. I assured Madison that we'd keep an eye on things. As a mom who has recently had high school seniors myself, I understand just how busy life is when you are close to graduating so I always try my best to make things as simple and convenient as possible. Sometimes sessions can still go on even with a little rain!
We decided to meet up at the parking garage since I knew we could get some coverage there and still do some shooting while we could see if the rain would move on. Luckily, by the time we started, it was only a light sprinkle! Nearing the end of the session, we got exactly what Madison wanted and had a gorgeous, colorful sunset as a backdrop for her. SHE LOVES SUNSETS SO MUCH!!! It made her so happy, which made me and her mom happy! The colors of her sweatshirts just popped with the lighting I chose and combined with that beautiful sunset, these portraits are so colorful and vibrant!
Madison will be graduating from Forsyth High School this year and wants to go on to nursing after graduation.
